Volunteer positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If a position you've applied for is available, our Volunteer Director will send you an acceptance email confirming your assigned shift. If you do not hear back from us within 7-10 business days post application, it means that the spot you have applied for has been filled.To secure your position, a $200 volunteer deposit is required within 72 hours of acceptance. Extensions are not permitted, and unconfirmed positions will be offered to applicants on our waitlist.Once your deposit is received, your position is officially confirmed! Closer to the festival, you'll receive a comprehensive Volunteer Guidebook outlining your role, responsibilities, and everything you need to know ahead of our in-person crew training on the land.

Absolutely! We do our best to schedule friends together, though we cannot guarantee shared shifts due to scheduling needs and availability. Please include the name of the friend you're hoping to volunteer with in your application, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.

Volunteers who have contributed two or more years of service to Wild Roses are considered Grandmothered In. As a thank-you for their continued dedication, these volunteers are exempt from the $200 deposit requirement and receive priority scheduling for their preferred shifts.We're proud that nearly 60% of our volunteer team is Grandmothered In, a beautiful reflection of the comm-unity that continues to grow with us year after year!

We understand that circumstances can change. However, volunteer deposits are non-refundable if your required hours are not fulfilled. By accepting a volunteer position, you are committing to your assigned shifts and responsibilities. If you're no longer able to participate, please notify our Volunteer Director as soon as possible.

Yes! Volunteers working during festival hours receive a $15 food voucher to enjoy at our Food Village. Volunteers assisting with festival setup and teardown are also treated to a delicious, family-style meal shared with our entire crew. It's one of our favourite ways to gather, connect, and celebrate the comm-unity that brings Wild Roses to life!

We recommend bringing comfortable, closed-toe footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle. As Wild Roses is an outdoor festival, please come prepared for changing weather conditions. Any role-specific supplies or requirements will be outlined in your Volunteer Guidebook before the festival.
