Sierra Jamerson

Sierra Jamerson is a spiritually gifted singer and musician who found her way to the djembe through a desire to reconnect to her ancestral African diasporic heritage, and through a curiosity as to why she so rarely saw women drumming. Knowing that women are the keepers of the drumbeat in cultures across the world, Sierra is dedicated to helping women everywhere reclaim the drum. As an artist-in-residence, facilitator, Hekatean devotee, and keeper of women's mysteries, Sierra's focus transcends mere music; it's a journey of empowerment and spiritual awakening. Currently signed to Frostbyte (Universal) record label, you can typically find Sierra working on her upcoming album, singing and drumming in unexpected places, or obsessively reading fantasy romance novels.

Women’s Community Drum Circle

Join singer and djembe player Sierra Jamerson in a sacred Goddess drum circle where we reclaim the drum as a powerful tradition for women, connecting deeply with our female ancestors of blood and spirit. Rooted in the West African drum ensemble tradition, this one-hour session invites you to bring your own drum, rattle, or shaker and immerse yourself in a rhythmic journey of divine connection.

Guided by Sierra’s expertise as a drum circle facilitator, we’ll weave together simple rhythms, engaging ice breakers, and the ancient wisdom of women’s voices. Together, we’ll honor the goddess within, reviving the sacred feminine energy that has always united and empowered us. Don’t miss this chance to reconnect to the rhythms of our foremothers and redefine your connection to rhythm, spirit, and sisterhood.
