Andrea Yacyshyn

Andrea Yacyshyn (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary mover and shaker pulling from her extensive background in movement and in manual therapy. Having had a vast dance career, she become a massage therapist and set out to change the way we think about and move our bodies. Wanting to offer her clients a more comprehensive experience, she created classes that pull from the science of rehabilitative movement, the foundations of pilates, the creative expression of dance, and soothing somatic movement principles.

Through her movement platform, Antidote Movement Club, Andrea aims to allow participants the space to really FEEL themselves; her classes inspire a deep sense of care and ownership towards their body. She believes that by embracing ourselves as individuals and seeing ourselves as important community members, we can feel limitless in our potential.

Core Connection: Pelvic Floor + Breath Work

This class will explore the diaphragm and pelvic floor connection through breath work and external release work to promote a harmonious function between the diaphragm and pelvic floor. Participants will leave this class with tools to help release pelvic floor tension and re-establish the core connection; we will also chat next steps for anyone interested in working with a physiotherapist or manual therapist.

We will be primarily working from the ground, please bring your yoga mat and any additional supports to be comfortable with you.
