Joining the Wild Roses Sound Team is a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes of one of Canada’s largest women’s festivals while supporting the powerful voices that shape the weekend. In this role, you’ll interact directly with our presenters, performers, and VIP speakers, helping ensure their message is heard clearly and confidently. It’s a great way to build hands-on experience with live event production, develop problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment, and play an essential role in creating the smooth, professional experience that makes Wild Roses so impactful.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Join the Sound Team and help create a smooth audio experience for our presenters and performers throughout the festival. Some comfort with sound equipment is recommended, but training will be provided on how to operate the system. Responsibilities include assisting presenters with connecting their devices via Bluetooth, fitting headset microphones, and providing light tech support such as adjusting sound levels as needed.
Applicants should be outgoing, as this role involves working closely with our VIP speakers and presenters, and should also have the ability to remain calm and organized in high-pressure situations. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and passionate about helping create a seamless audio experience for workshops and performances.
Volunteer positions on our team are offered in exchange for 14 hours of service (two 7-hour shifts).

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
We only have 8 open positions on our cafe team this year. Positions are first come, first serve and we will only be in contact with selected applicants. Applications close March 31, 2026 or when all positions have been filled.
Once accepted, our Sound Crew Director will follow up by email with a schedule of dates, as well as a secure link to put forward your $200 deposit. You will have 72 hours to put down a deposit to secure your position before we move onto our waitlist. If you have already purchased a ticket, let the Director know and it will be refunded after the event. Volunteers who have volunteered 2+ years in a row will be automatically grand mothered in without a deposit. No refunds will be given in the case of cancellation 30 days before the event or no show.
