Amanda Cook
Wellness at Wild Roses

Amanda Cook is a trauma-informed counselor, MindBody therapy practitioner, facilitator, and the founder of Mother|HER: a therapeutic approach and movement devoted to re-mothering, self-trust, and collective healing. With over 25 years of experience guiding people back to themselves, Amanda’s work bridges the worlds of inner child work, somatic healing, embodiment, and soulful connection.
She began her career in Child and Youth Work, studying developmental psychology and supporting at-risk youth in communities and education systems, later expanding into holistic wellness. But it was working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual exploitation that changed everything - revealing how trauma, conditioning, and inherited wounds keep women in cycles of self-abandonment and disconnection. Confronting her own mother wound, Amanda turned toward the deeper work of embodied healing - because true healing isn’t about fixing yourself; it’s about remembering your wholeness.
Amanda has been part of the Wild Roses Festival since its very beginning, growing alongside it and stretching into her role as Wellness Director. From leading circles in the Bloom Tent to guiding meditative nature walks and speaking on stage, she brings her signature blend of grounded truth and heart-centered care. In her role, Amanda offers ongoing support to the Wild Roses team, helping to nurture emotional well-being and cultivate a trauma-informed environment where both participants and staff feel safe to explore, express, and integrate their experiences. Each year, she curates and mentors the Space Holders - a team of women devoted to presence, safety, and support - and continues to envision new and innovative ways to deepen the festival experience, fostering inner reflection, connection, and integration in the moment and long after the weekend ends.
Through her work with Mother|HER and Wild Roses, Amanda continues to hold space for women to break free from outdated narratives, rebuild trust in themselves, and remember the wisdom they’ve carried all along.
