TriDevi Dance Troupe

Rachel and Aimee bring experience, artistry, and passion to the world of belly dance.
Rachel began her journey in 2003 after winning a radio contest and investing in dance classes. She explored Raqs Sharki and Fusion before discovering FatChanceBellyDance® Style (FCBD) in 2016. Captivated by its vibrant costuming and improvisational style, she has embraced FCBD ever since. Rachel's background is in education and she has 28 years experience teaching students from kindergarten to university.
Aimee’s background in music and theatre shaped her lifelong love of the arts. She entered the belly dance community in 2008 and found her passion for American Tribal Style (now FCBD)-inspired styles in 2010. As a founding member of TriDevi Dance Troupe, Aimee teaches, performs and supports dancers with enthusiasm and care. Her joy shines through as she encourages others and celebrates every achievement.
Together, Rachel and Aimee create a welcoming space where women celebrate body positivity, self-expression and healthy movement through dance. They believe dance is a powerful form of creative empowerment that builds confidence, fosters connection and nourishes the soul.
FatChanceBellyDance® honours the strength and beauty of the female form, and their teaching reflects this philosophy. Both have learned from instructors worldwide and are delighted to share that inspiration at the festival.
Above all, they are committed to cultivating an inclusive community where every woman feels valued, supported and free to express herself through the art of dance.

Embracing Your Inner Goddess through FatChanceBellyDanceⓇ

Step into an hour of connection, creativity and pure joy. We’ll introduce FatChanceBellyDance® Style, a modern improvisational group dance created by Carolena Nericcio and nurtured into a global sisterhood since the late 1980s. Rooted in the tradition of women dancing together, FCBD® celebrates strength, beauty and shared presence.

Our session embraces body positivity because dance is for everybody and every body. We offer gentle modifications so every participant feels comfortable and supported. Expect the magic of sisterhood, the uplift of divine consciousness and the nourishment that comes from moving in community — perfectly aligned with Wild Roses’ invitation to bloom in inclusive solidarity.

You will learn a few core FCBD® moves, practise simple cuing and, by the end of the hour, we will be dancing together in joyful harmony.
