OLIVER THE PLACE

Oliver The Place is a 23 year old professional DJ based in Edmonton, Alberta. Raised in the local queer house music scene, her journey began at only 15 years old. It got more serious when she turned to DJ for fun during the lockdowns. This hobby eventually turned to a career when she became full time resident at Local, a position which she holds with pride to this day. Oliver is also a part of SWEAT at the Grindstone and works as a volunteer with the 4b Harm Reduction team in Edmonton.

Her dance floor -- "The Place" is one like no other; providing a unique blend of disco and funky tech house that always has some good bass to it. Prepare to be taken on a journey she likes to say will convince even the biggest hater of house music to move their body.

Oliver's number one goal is to provide a safe space for queer people and minorities while bringing that fun energy that a lot of our lives' don't see quite enough of these days.
