Chelsea Penman

Hey--It's Chelsea, a proud, longtime WRF team member--now proudly acting in the capacity of Wildroses Cafe Manager. For years, attendees have approached me, saying, "You work here, right?" And yes, I proudly do.

When I am not doing WRF things, you'll find me hanging with my beloved golden retriever/bestie/son, Ziggy, with my amazing family, cherished friends (many of whom are working alongside me on this team), outside walking in nature, or in one of my many roles as a Provisional Psychologist working in private practice in Old Strathcona or Ellerslie, or in the beautiful indigenous communities of Atikameg or Maskwacis.

Also--you will see me making the stunnin' jewels of FreeSoulJewelCo--a favourite of gemstone jewelry lovers and WRF attendees since year one (my gratitude reaches the stars for y'all, Roses).

I am a huge fan of saying I love you way too much, smiling big, crying lots and whenever, hugging everyone I meet, and living with my heart on my sleeve. See me at the fest for a free hug, for sure!

What can I say about WRF? I am so honoured and filled with warmth when I think of the connections I have made with so many elite-level, joy-bringing, heart-forward women at the festival. I am beyond proud and honoured to be a part of something which brings women together to connect, heal, grow, learn, inspire, and truly be a part of something bigger, with a strong foundation of non-competition, non-judgment, empowerment, kindness, and community.

Since year one, I have felt the magic of this gathering, and it only gets better as the years go on.

I am stoked to meet all you new Roses, reconnect with returners and OGs, and have you join us on the beautiful land of Aspen Country Hills.

Short story long, I love ya!

Connected Conversations for Solo Sisters

Attending Wild Roses solo? You’re invited into a welcoming circle designed just for you.
Some of the most transformative experiences are those we engage in completely solo. A
magical part of this can be the people we meet along the way. This session is about
empowering solo attendees to find meaningful connections for a soft space to land, a dance
party partner, a heart-to-heart buddy, or a potential new gal pal for many more experiences. It
can be so comforting to find a familiar face or warm, supportive presence in the crowd–we’re
here to facilitate that kind of sisterhood energy.

Connected Conversations for Solo Sisters is a lightly guided experience where women
attending alone can meet for a refreshing beverage, reflect, laugh, and build meaningful
connections in a warm, supportive space.

As you arrive, enjoy a refreshing café beverage and settle in. We’ll open with a gentle grounding
practice and intention setting before moving into small groups (4–5 sisters) for guided
conversation rounds with the intention of blending lighthearted introductions with deeper
reflections on friendship, courage, growth, and self-nourishment.

Together, we’ll explore topics like:
● Intention setting for the festival and summer season
● How you want to show up in and receive connection
● What you’re growing through
● How to care for yourself while embracing sisterhood

We’ll close with a shared grounding moment and an invitation to exchange contact information
or capture a photo with your new festival sisters.
Whether you’re seeking friendly faces in the crowd, someone to dance beside, or friendships
that last beyond the weekend — this circle is a soft landing place to connect.

Come as you are. You belong here.
