Magic in Motion: Sacred Breast Self-Massage for Cultivating Your Yin

Magic in Motion

Your breasts cradle your heart
Gently holding whilst expanding this sacred space
Hints of your divinity lie within these tissues
Your ability to nourish life and feel deep ecstasy
Your breasts hold your magic
They declare you woman and goddess all at once
They are the gentle and fierce guardians of all you hold dear.
~

The breasts are known as the antlers or guardians of your beautiful heart space, which is forever vibrant and expansive. In some ways, your breasts are the energetic extensions of your heart - physiologically, energetically and spiritually. They have beautiful nurturing qualities to them, such as nourishing new life and bringing you deep sensorial pleasure.

The benefits of breast self-massage include nervous system regulation, improved lymphatic and blood circulation, improved vitality in these tissues and a deep connection to your body. There is a release of dopamine and oxytocin, as well as a self-pleasure component, found within just 10 minutes of daily practice. Placing reverent hands on your body helps to cultivate your capacity to be fully present in your body and focus on sensations. Rather than massaging your breasts to find what’s wrong, this experience will help you appreciate your sacred femininity, and the beauty of your unique breasts.

This 60- to 75-minute workshop is a place to dip into deep rest, nervous system regulation and the sensory pleasures of learning how to incorporate breast massage into your sacred self-care routines. In this way, cultivating yin or female energy in our essence and lives.

This workshop starts with an exploration of the energetic and physiological heart/breast space and how tending to your breasts offers unique support for women via the cultivation of yin energy.

Participants will then be guided into a 20-minute breast self-massage practice. A choice of breast massage oils and towels will be provided for each woman. Rose, geranium and a plain carrier oil will be the three choices available for women to select from prior to attending. Individual bottles will be prepared ahead of time for each woman attending.

The breast self-massage portion will be offered as a sacred ceremony for women to connect to their inner goddess and remember the sacred anointing rites of priestesses and their well ancestors from centuries ago. I will also demonstrate a briefer 10-minute practice that women can utilize on a daily basis.

This part of the workshop will include partial nudity, as women in our circle practice self-massage together. There is something beautiful about seeing other sisters in a circle tending to the sacred temple of their bodies. Feeling held and accepted in all of our diversity. Participants may massage their breasts over their clothing if they choose but must be prepared that others (including myself) could disrobe for the practice.

Following the breast self-massage practice, I will invite reflections from the women attending. We will integrate by exploring how to incorporate breast self-massage into daily self-care.

I will also provide information and demonstrate techniques for body oiling and womb massage as part of your self-massage/self-care practice. Workshop participants will receive written materials and access to video guidance on breast self-massage, womb massage and body oiling for future support in learning how to apply these practices after the workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to take their breast massage oil home for future use.
