Tiffany Sparrow

I am a Metis Musician, Mystic, Mentor and Mama. I first discovered the healing power of embodied sound by accessing it to overcome eating disorders as a teen/young woman when talk therapy only took me so far. Sound is a very effective healing tool as it is a bridge to help connect our spirit with our body/mind - this was the key for my healing, embracing body as a temple for spirit through music. And our voice is our most powerful sound healing tool because the instrument is our body.
Since experiencing my own healing through embodied sound, I have devoted my lifework to helping others access the healing potential of sound, especially through voice. I spent years travelling nomadically, living out of my backpack in order to learn and experience the sacred music of other cultures - India, Indonesia, Peru, Australia to name a few places. Recently, through the guidance of an Elder, I've delved into cultural land practices of the Nehiyawak (Cree People) to connect more fully with my healing roots. I've also experienced lots of more formal training: I am a certified music therapist and counselling therapist (MTA, RCT), registered yoga teacher (RYT), shamanic energy therapist (IYS therapy), international sound therapist (IAST), and wrote my masters thesis (MA) about the healing power of group singing. I'm also a recording artist with 2 albums of original singer-songwriter songs as well as 3 albums of mantra and chant.
My main message is that using our vocal sound for our wellness is our birthright and that each of our voices is unique and is, therefore, a much needed vibration. It is my joy to help others and myself continue to remember this and to liberate our healing voice.
