Crisia Tabacaru

Hi, I'm Crisia!

I'm a fertility awareness educator and fertility doula. As an educator I teach a method of fertility awareness to support people in understanding their menstrual cycles for health, to conceive, or to avoid pregnancy. I also specialize in postpartum and preconception cycle charting. As a fertility doula, I teach a custom charting approach to minimize charting anxiety while trying to conceive, while also providing emotional support along the way.

My passion really lies in supporting people to understand their menstrual cycles and all the ways that cycles communicate with us and that we can keep track of them. Our fertility is an integral part of our bodies and health, whether or not we hope to become pregnant, and understanding the cycles and patterns of hormones can empower us to live in tune with our bodies.

The Beauty and Power of Vaginal Discharge

Vaginal discharge has a bad reputation in our society. We are taught to think of it as gross, indicative of disease, and something to be treated. In reality, the majority of vaginal discharge is normal, beautiful, and absolutely vital for reproductive health. Vaginal discharge is made up of mostly cervical mucus, but also of vaginal cell slough, and sometimes arousal fluid, and it changes throughout the menstrual cycle in response to different hormones that come and go. Paying attention to the patterns and cycles of discharge can empower us to deeply understand our menstrual cycles.

Cervical mucus is a large part of vaginal discharge. There are many types and each has a vital role to play in the menstrual cycle. When we look at the different types under a microscope, we can see just how beautiful and powerful these substances that we were taught to ignore and be wary of actually are. My goal with this workshop is to show you just how beautiful and powerful your vaginal discharge is, and to start you on a path of body literacy so you can use your cervical mucus superpower to understand your body.
