Deandra Dey

Deandra Dey is a Manitoba born singer songwriter currently residing in the foothills of Riding Mountain National park with her two small children and partner. Deandra is passionate about facilitating connection with self, others and nature and does this through her work as a counselling therapist, yoga instructor, podcast host and musician.

She is creatively driven by the stories of human experience and resilience she hears and weaves these intimate themes into her songs. She has been able to bridge her passion for community and music by incorporating a participatory art project named "Letters" into her live performance.

In 2016 Deandra Dey received a Demo Recording Grant from Factor Canada and with this funding released her debut EP “Letters”. Since the release of her debut EP Deandra Dey has released several singles including “Take it Easy”, “Still Dreaming”, “Wait and See” and most recently “These days” which bodes folky tones, groovy beats and silky vocals. In 2021 Deandra was nominated for “Kamloops Artist of the Year” and in recent years has had the pleasure of playing Arts Wells Festival, Kamloops BrewLoops, and Christina Lake Homecoming, to name a few.

In 2022 Deandra Dey is set to release her newest single "Shaken it” which is inspired by an old celtic song “Dance to Your Shadow”. This track features layered counterpart vocals in an upbeat mix that will have you singing along in no time.

You can find her music on Spotify, iTunes and CD Baby.
